Gathering data on velocity using True Blue powder
TinMan
I was finally able to get to the range and gather some velocity data using Ramshot True Blue by Western Powders. The two bullets used were the Lee 356-124-2R and the NOE HTC-358-133-RN. The lighter Lee bullets seemed to prefer a lighter charge while the heavier bullet from NOE preferred a higher charge. This goes against my belief that a lighter bullet generally needs more powder to create the same amount of pressure as a similar charge for a heavier bullet. These findings are based on velocity data only. Group size was not taken into consideration and will be tested further at a later time. Firearm used is a Beretta 92FS, 5 inch barrel. Primers were CCI small pistol primers. Thanks for watching!
