Setting Up A Wall Tent And Wood Stove
This video shows the set up of a type of heavy, canvas wall tent I don’t see around anymore. Made-to-order about 50 years ago for my father by a company in Edmonton (Canada), it makes use of multiple 2×4’s with nails in the end for supporting the walls. This makes setting up the tent very quick and easy, without the need for a heavy and complex inner or outer frame. It has served us very well for 2 generations now.
Also shown in this video is the type of tall wood stove I recommend using – especially if you rely on it for warmth the whole way through a long, northern night.
