WCChapin | Cast in the Carbine – Powder Coated Lyman 311291 and NOE-314-162-FN
William C Chapin
Last Fall, the powder coated plain base NOE 314-162-FN cast bullet showed promise in my 1891 Argentine Cavalry Carbine.
I prepared more bullets to try in the 1891 Argentine Engineer Carbine, along with a small batch of powder coated Lyman 311291 cast bullets.
7.65×53 Argentine Mauser
Cases converted from mixed year SL headstamp 30-06 brass
Herters 120 Large Rifle Primer
Alliant 2400
Bullets unsized, two coats of IVC Platinum Silver baked at 400 degrees for 18 minutes per coat
Special thanks to MCK for the powder coat!
