S&W Pre 10

I purchased this old S&W a while back. It’s a pre model 10 and was shipped in ’48 or ’49. I wish every S&W sixgun had an action like this. The little gun is all original but for the stocks which are from a later model. In my earlier days I stayed away from the […]

Christmas Day

After family, food and friends Barbara was ready for the easy chair and I was ready to get out for a while. I drove to the range with a rifle and sixgun for a little fun. This sixgun has been with me for many years and is the same age as my youngest daughter. It […]

Howdy

I am honored with a place here to share a few things with fellow bullet casters, ammunition loaders & shooters. Thank you James. I was raised the son of a coal miner who was busy trying to feed & provide for his family so the two firearms in the family were used for small game […]

Ruger Blackhawk 45 ACP

One of my older videos on a warm day in 2017. This little sixgun is one of my most used. The bullet is a Lee 45-230-TC cast from one of their 6 cavity moulds with a charge of Promo Powder, 4 grains by weight. This is a very simple video for your enjoyment on this a late fall day.

Accurate Mould 45-200E

The bullet from this mould is listed on the Accurate site as the mould maker’s favorite. Considering his expertise in the business I decided to try the 45-200E bullet. I’ve not been disappointed. I won’t list it as the most accurate but plenty so for field/truck carry. My first concern was its feeding so the […]

RCBS 38-158-SWC

In my sixgun I mostly use plain base bullets, but I do shoot a few with gas checks. One of my favorites is the RCBS 38-158-SWC. I use it in my Ruger Blackhawk & S&W Model 28. These were cast with range scrape and I use Hornady checks. They make a pretty load and shoot […]

Loading the little one

Loading one of the little guys, the .380 Auto. This is a simple little round but I can see ham-handed guys having trouble with the small bullets. I load this round for the only 380 I own, a first generation Ruger LCP. Creeker

The Gift

My friend Wayne & brother in Christ lost his father sometime back & one day Wayne came to visit but I was gone. He left a package with my wife & once home I was amazed at the content. Inside was a 6″ Model 29-3 Smith & Wesson belonging to father Byrd Miller, a WWII […]

M-28 S&W 357 Mag.

Shooting the .357 Magnum at one of my get away spots. I've owned this sixgun awhile but haven't used it a lot. It is a good shooter & hope to use it some through the winter.

A Few Shots

Been a very rainy fall this year and the first day of winter was no different. After running a few errands about town I was hankering to get out for a while. I installed a new front sight on Barbara’s Remington 341-P & needed to take a few shots so out of town I went. […]

This Day 2017

It was on this day 2017 that Lee Jurras stepped out into eternity. Those of you who are long time sixgunners know I held him in highest esteem. Lee did many things in his sojourning here. He was a lover of firearms, ammunition and all they could do. Lee and his friend George C. Nonte, […]
