As I write this, the rains and wind from Florence pelt my home in the foothills of NC. I will get some reloading done this weekend. I will leave my techniques for loading in Part 3. I want to discuss the effects of Wind, Light and Mirage and how it affects POI (point of impact). […]
The wait is over and the video turned out awesome. This is the first time I have seen the target camera footage. This was filmed this past May at The Long Range Shooter's of Utah's International Milk Jug Challenge. I am using my Ruger American Predator chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. Four shots was all it took to bust the jug. I also took home the Golden Jug Award.
This version is with-out music over dialog
This will be my first post here, so hoping you all find it informative. A bit of background first though. I have been shooting for 40 years, Reloading for 20 years, Precision shooting/Benchrest shooting for about 4 years. I still don’t know a dadgum thing. Every time I think I have had an AH HAH! […]
I'm 19 years old and I have very little experience with rifles, or even hand guns at this point. I am aware of the idea of long-range shooting but truly don't know much beyond you shoot at a target that is far away. I am unfamiliar with cartridges, bullet weights and even brands of rifles. I was watching Public Enemies and see Melvin Pervice run the bolt on a Mauser 98 and think to myself, I want a bolt-action rifle. But what brand should I buy?
Hey guys, I would like to start my contributions to The Reloaders Network by answering the common questions I get asked regarding the Uintah Precision UPR-10. It is a bolt action AR-10 upper, mine is chambered for 6.5 Creedmoor. The questions I am most often asked are; Why a bolt action AR-10? Why are they so expensive? Why would I buy this when I can buy a Ruger Precision rifle for the same price?
The Milk Jug So what’s the big deal? Basically, everyone in the US knows what this is. We drink or pour from one every day. Instead of throwing it away when we are finished, we can repurpose it. Filling it up with water makes a great target. In my opinion the milk jug is a […]
This was recorded a week ago. I had went out and shot ten rounds off camera in the morning, and put all ten on target. I had a slight breeze, left to right for the first six shots, then it changed, right to left for the last four. Filming at the thousand yard range is […]
Hello and welcome to The Reloaders Network. First thing, a HUGE THANKS to Loads of Bacon for all his hard work setting up this community. This is going to be big, I have no doubt. So recently I have been toying with the idea of starting a blog, or some kind of weekly post and […]
