TRN 300 Blackout 100 Yard Outdoor Challenge

Objective:

5 shots on a poker playing card at 100 yards outdoors using subsonic ammunition.
1 point per hit on target, any tie will be broken by a measurement of the tightest group.
Competition will begin on December 7^th, 2018 and closed January 7^th, 2019.

Basic Rules:

100 Yards
15 MINUTES PER TARGET/Entry/Card
There will be two classes:
- semi-auto
- bolt action
Suppressors, any power scope or iron sight allowed

Ammunition:

Reloads only
Subsonic only

Targets are jumbo (around 8.5×11, ruler included for scale) playing cards, we were using our super cheap AR pistols with no zoom, cast bullets and we don’t really have that much experience with tuning our loads yet on these pistols. Also we’re doing the competition for fun, not to be competitive.
Target on the left is my buddies, he’s using a 9″ barrel and a suppressor, and about $150 dollars worth of AR parts he picked up on sale last year to build his pistol. He is also using a Holosun red dot. His load is a powder coated NOE 230 or 250 grain (don’t remember which one he was using for the shoot) over CFE BLK, using that blue powdercoat Elvis likes. He shot off a bench over front and rear bags.
Target on the right is mine. I’m shooting a 10″ AR that I traded for and honestly have no idea what components are present. I also shot off front and rear bags using my really old BSA red dot from my paintball days that I mounted for this shoot. The red dot didn’t have a riser, so I aimed with my head behind the brace and tried to not hit myself in the face when I pulled the trigger. My load is a Harbor Freight red powder coat on the Lee 309-230-5r over 9.6 grains of IMR4227. Oh, I’m also using CCI pistol primers for my subsonic 300 blackout load. So far this load has been reliable in my gun once I changed from 9.3 to 9.6 grains. I would really like to figure out how to make this bullet more accurate, but for now I’ll settle for reliable. It’s my inside gun, so my 100 yard spread is not really an issue for me yet.
