Range gear has a use and isn't always just some fancy thing to show off. The use of single loading devices in the M-1 is about safety as not to drop the bolt on a loaded chamber. Spotting scopes are abundant these days and there isn't any reason to go out and spend a lot of money on one for your use. Shop around and save your money for loading components. A cheaper scope may have all the features you need.

So, inconsistencies in the Criterion Barrel was attributed to a loose ferrule that holds the handguard on. I fixed it and 1 MOA to sub-MOA is achievable now. Same day my Douglas barrel shows up. Go figure. ThorsaxeMy Channel is geared for the Hobbyist Handloader, Reloader or Bullet caster.

Had a bit of a problem with the rifle riding on the bags. The stock is glass slick and doesn't like the bag rests.

So, you have got an M-1 and she isn't so tight anymore, these are a few hacks that the average person who has basic skills can tighten up the fitting to the stock without glass bedding.

I ordered a spring kit and a few parts that wouldn't hurt to replace at this time, Just some maintenance on the M-1.

This is my theory and opinion on the difference in accuracy between bullets of the same make.

This is the first of the range videos starting with the Nosler bullet and 47.5 of IMR-4895.  Not too bad for being rusty, most of what you see is me.  I had one malfunction. (I believe that the en bloc clip retainer is worn and showing its age.)  Overall a score of 155 out of a 160.

Just a little catch up on what's been going on.

This is a procedure to stop doubling with the M-1 and M-1A rifles. The Ar can be done the same way, however, you need a jig to do it and I don't have one handy.

Today was a sight in time for my 455 trainer rifle. I also resighted in my 452 Varminter after a lengthy stay in the gun safe.

This was a pistol I found out and about, I am going to leave it as is. It is a collectible piece for me and nothing else.

Just a little video of some loadings in a different powder, this time I'm going to see what these slugs will do with Blue Dot powder. The plan is to shoot them at 100 yards like before using Longshot.
