Sometimes shotgun hulls require a little reshaping prior to reloading. This may be due to dents, crimp creases, or only partially opening as a result of the previous crimp. The hull conditioner can restore a fresh crimping surface.
The heat generated by rotational friction, along with the hull conditioner’s shape, gently reconditions damaged hulls. The tool reshapes the crimp mouth by reforming the shrunken plastic mouth and smoothing rippled plastic.
This aluminum tool will work in either drill presses or hand drills. Start with low RPMs and light pressure for 3-4 seconds. Too much pressure may result in weak or split hulls.
(Note: This conditioner has been tested will 20 gauge hulls; it will typically work with 20 gauge, but we suggest use of this conditioner with 20 gauge instead: Hull Conditioner – 20 Gauge to .410 Gauge )
