Many before me have discussed 38 Special wadcutter, its accuracy, and its ability to be a crusher. Ed Harris documented the effects of the DEWC (full wadcutter) in 38 Special very well for us to reflect upon all of its goodness. This got me to thinking; if it was this good and still yet very […]

I was able to score some 130gr Federal HST Wadcutters used in Federal Micro HST 38 Special +P self defense ammo. I have tested the 38 Special +P and it performs really well in Clear Ballistics gel. My curiosity lead me to perform this test with 357 Magnum as there is very little data available […]

I recently purchased two molds from Arsenal Molds.

There are many many cast bullet designs out there. Some really like us and our guns, and we really like them. This video features one of those for me. I recently tested several different cast bullets in my EAA Big Bore Bounty Hunter single action.  I am now testing those same bullet in my Taurus Judge.  I loaded these with Alliant Unique powder.  I am trying to determine if larger bullets will help to increase accuracy in these revolvers.

The 45 Colt was designed in 1872, making this one old cartridge. The granddad of the Old West at one time was one of the most venerable cartridges known to man. Let's test a 225gr full wadcutter and a 230gr hollow point and see if the 45 Colt is still capable after 147 years of service and if it remains relevant to this day.

I tested a couple different loads in my EAA Big Bore Bounty Hunter single action for accuracy.  These were loaded with Alliant Unique.  It appears the larger bullets will help to increase accuracy in this particular revolver.

Having a blast with the big bore .454

I tested several different cast bullets in my EAA Big Bore Bounty Hunter single action.  I loaded these with Alliant Unique and Alliant e3 powder.  I am trying to determine if larger bullets will help to increase accuracy in this particular revolver.

The .454 was loaded with 36 grains of H110
