I am testing some reloads for 8X57 Mauser with the PPU 124 grain FMJ bullets. This is the results using IMR 4064 as the powder. I had to piece together load data from discontinued bullets and older load data. I am using a German K98k Mauser for the testing. Hopefully, this will be the start […]

First shots with my Carcano TS carbine. This particular carbine was made in 1915 by Brescia and later arsenal refinished after World War 2. It shoots the 6.5X52 Carcano and I am using 0.268 diameter 139grain FMJ by PPU for my projectiles. This gun is small and light and overall a really neat little carbine. […]

I am using Privi Partizan 0.268 diameter bullets in the Carcano Calvary Carbine. The 0.268 diameter bullets come in 123 grain soft point and 139 grain FMJ BT. I used IMR 4064 with both projectiles and was able to achieve good groups (for me). These bullets from PPU give the older Carcano rifles new life […]

A Good viewer gave me some of these bullets to try. He found them for hand-loading and figured they would be a good plinking/practice load. What do y’all think? Alaskan BallisticsI’m just a regular guy who likes guns, hunting, and ballistics.
