This is a quick look at my new (to me) rifle scope I received today.  One of the problems that I have run into lately is more rifles than scopes.  I am constantly swapping scopes and moving them rifle to rifle.  As most of you know I am a huge fan of Sightron scopes and […]

Bringing out the AR-15 and the Savage Axis bolt rifle today. These are the first loads with CFE223. This was a highly recommended powder for me to try. I have decided to shoot these at 50 yards today, so the goal is 1/2 groups. These are sized to .224 and have no gas check.

This is the last of the bullets NYC Reloader sent me. I am using Varget and groups were a lot better today. I will most likely be picking up this mould in the very near future.

Taking the Savage Axis 223 out to 1003 yards today. Using some Hornady 68g BTHP Match bullets on a charge of Accurate 2230. The scope is maxed out at this range, so I have to hold an additional 6 MOA. The Scope is a Sightron S-Tac 4-20x50.

Time to take these rounds out to the range. Using my Savage Axis and a Sightron SiH-Tac 3-9x40

This is a continuation of a video I made last spring. Link to video below. We determined a good load, now we need to see how it does at longer ranges. Shooting Hornady 68g BTHP Match Bullets using 22.5g of Accurate 2230.

Stretching out the Lee 225-55-RF out to 100 yards. Using the IMR 4198 and Shooters World load from the last video. 243 OutdoorsMy name is Josh and I love Firearms and Freedom.  I started 243 Outdoors as a YouTube Channel back in 2015 and have branched out to other media sites.

First look at the newly released 243 80g solid copper projectiles from Fort Scott Munitions. These rounds are designed to tumble upon impact. They make rounds for most pistol and rifle calibers. They also have loaded ammunition if you don’t reload. In this video I will take a few test loads out, and see how […]

Trying some Lee 55g (225-55-RF). Using Unique, Shooters World Blackout, and IMR4198. These are powder coated with Eastwood Ford Light Blue, Gas checked, and sized .225. All shots were at 50 yards. 243 OutdoorsMy name is Josh and I love Firearms and Freedom.  I started 243 Outdoors as a YouTube Channel back in 2015 and […]
