@Vortex Optics Full.Lead.TacoI love guns, tacos, and lead. I use the guns. The guns eat lead. And I eat tacos. The videos on this channel focus on the first two items–using guns and making the ammo that gets used in them. If there is a video project you want me to do, feel free to […]
Next up with the newly barreled Wilson Combat 22″ super sniper 6.5mm Grendel is H322 and 8208XBR powders pushing Hornady 120 grain ELD’s with CCI 41 primers. Pretty good results with more potential improvement! Updates to the rifle include a Vortex Anti-Cant bubble level and a Radical Firearms Nada Zero Impulse Muzzle Brake. Hazzbro’s HideReloader, […]
Resolution of the non-staked Faxon BCG issue, Fail Zero BCG review, and the rest of the main parts for the 6.5 Grendel Build Hazzbro’s HideReloader, shooter, flintlock builder
I go over the details of this custom rifle made for PRS style and long-range competitive shooting. The rifle was built by Preferred Barrels and equipped with a Tikka T3 prefit with a taperless 900 contour, custom fluted, and cerakoted.
Going through the course of fire and covering how I did across the stages. Lots of fun, this was only the third time ever using my 22 so I still have lots to learn about how wind effects it and drops at each range. This is also my first competition with positional style stages that […]
In this video we go over the Thompson Center Compass in 6.5 Creedmoor. We do a very quick unboxing of the rifle, add our Vortex 4-12x44 and muzzle break. We show a bore scope view of the barrel, compare the factory Hornady 143 ELD-X precision Hunter box velocity to the actual velocity we achieve with its 22" barrel. We also take our match load and test to see what velocity and group size we get with it. This was a $200 rifle that we are going to test to see how accurate it can be with a very budget setup.
I went on a trip with my brother and set up targets at 350 and 500. This is the first time really going for groups at distance with the 95g Sierra Match King. My rifle has a 1:7 twist so I was curious how stable they would be.
This was my first opportunity to test the Vortex Diamondback Tactical FFP 4-16 scope. This model is MOA with an EBR-2C reticle and matching MOA turrets which is exactly what you want in a scope, a reticle that matches the turrets. That makes measuring and dialing the correct adjustment easy. This is not my Review for the Vortex Diamond Back Tactical I want to try it a few more times before having a solid opinion on how I feel about it.
Sub and Sub half .MOA groups at 500 yards - Long range shooting, LRS - Shooting Savage 12 LRP .260 Rem rifle with Vortex Viper HS-T 6-24x50 scope and Savage 12 FV 6.5 Creedmoor with a SWFA SS Fixed 10 X scope. This video shows the Berger 130 AR Hybrid OTM Tatical loaded with Reloder 16 in my Ruger Precision Rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor. There is velocity and group data at 150 yards. We use Lapua Brass along with Fed 205MAR primers.
Today's video is about the Hornady 68g Match BTHP Bullet. I am loading them up with Varget and Accurate 2230. I am using my Savage Axis 223. I picked this rifle up over Christmas break for $157. It had a $100 rebate that I received about a month later. This rifle has a EGW 20 MOA base. First I put on a Sightron SiH-TAC 3-9x40 scope. I have recently put a Vortex Viper 6-24x50 on it. This is the first time out with the Viper.
So today I am back out for round two with the Swift. I am shooting my neighbor’s loads. He has been loading for decades. These are loads that he has loaded for the Swift in the past. The H380 load is a load he developed for this rifle in the past. One thing I noticed […]
