Machining a .45 ACP Barrel
In this episode, the Idahoan machines a .45 ACP barrel for his UTAH pistol.
Unfortunately, the red-dot sight used for the initial accuracy testing of the .45 ACP barrel refused to hold a zero. In this episode, the Idahoan tries out a cheap generic-brand alternative sight.
With the new sight, the Idahoan then conducts a proper accuracy test of his homemade barrel.
Idaho was one of the last continental US states to be settled and, more so than some parts of the US, the culture of Idaho still retains a frontier spirit of self-reliance. As host of TheIdahoanShow on YouTube, I endeavor to produce videos capturing this enduring pioneer spirit, at least as it is practiced by this Idahoan. Of course, shooting and associated ancillary activities are an important part of Idahoan culture, and so many of my videos pertain in some way to the making or testing of firearms and/or ammunition.
