Description

The Lee Lead Hardness Test Kit is a great system for checking and verifying the hardness of your casting alloy, but holding the Pocket Microscope in perfect depth and alignment while trying to measure the impression and also get enough light can prove challenging. This microscope stand will enable hands-free operation of the Lee Pocket Microscope. The microscope will be held steady while both of your hands are free to position the bullet or ingot and adjust the lighting for a much more easy and accurate measurement. The addition of the flashlight and stand will enable hands-free illumination while you take your measurements.

The Pocket Microscope can be installed at any desired height and then secured by finger tightening the collet nut. The adjustment knobs allow for 1/2″ of vertical travel. The Pocket Microscope is not modified or damaged by the use of this stand, however removal or relocation of the Pocket Microscope pocket clip may be necessary to achieve the desired installation height.

Your order includes the 3D printed microscope stand, a dust cap, and a “V” block cradle handle. The dust cap is included with the stand for users that desire to leave the Pocket Microscope installed for extended periods of time. A handle is included with a loop that is designed to hold the “V” block cradle. This handle is convenient for moving and positioning the indented bullet to the correct position under the Pocket Microscope.

Your order also includes the 3D printed light stand, a mini LED flashlight, and 3 x AAA batteries. This stand will accommodate most flashlights with a 1″ diameter. The included flashlight has a lightweight durable aluminum body and measures approximately 3-1/4″ (length) x 1″ (diameter). It will come in one of six available colors: red, blue, green, silver, black, or gray. Specify in the order comments if you desire a specific color.

Caution: Do not overtighten the collet nut without the Pocket Microscope installed as the collet flanges may be damaged or broken.

Attention: Remove batteries from flashlight and store them separately when not in use or when used infrequently (less than once a month). This will prolong battery life and guard against corrosion.
