Bringing new shooters to the range is fun – today we met Steve K. who brought along a very interesting Colt 1911 from the year 1917… FortuneCookie45LCFortuneCookie45LC started posting videos on YouTube in 2012.  He has been a Reloader and Shooter since 1969.

Today I look at a Concealment Solutions Black Mamba CE holster for a 5 inch 1911.

The Story of Me and My Henry Rifle THE DUKE……not too many nicknames garner as much of a mental image as John Wayne’s. In my mind, Wayne was the walking, talking embodiment of the American Man. The swagger, the confidence, the fairness, and the rowdiness he portrayed on screen was almost patentable. So much of […]

This is my Long Slide 6″ 10mm Kimber Target 1911, after getting off to a rough start she’s running good now. Buffalo's OutdoorsIf you enjoy shooting firearms, this is the author for you! Especially if you like recreational shooting and reviews from a little different perspective. Buffalo loved watching YouTube videos about firearms he was […]

I put some Acme Bullets 230gr 45acp that I reloaded thru my Ruger SR1911.

What can I say about the 22lr that hasn't been said before? It's soft recoiling, mild shooting and most of all it's "CHEAP, like the budgie". That, by the way, was a seriously underrated film! We show you how to get some cheap shoots while honing your skill and have fun at the same time!

Milk jugs beware... the 22 TCM is at the range!

2018 Hot Lead Zone Christmas Goodies

It's time to head back to the range.  I loaded up some of the 225 grain RNFPs that I cast from my MP mold.  This time I loaded them to a COAL of 1.172" instead of 1.222".

Get Out and Practice Charlie and James remind us we need to get out and challenge ourselves to remain proficient in defensive encounters. Mr.Revolverguy Sacrilege Not only am I trying the challenge with a semi auto, it is a 1911 chambered in 9mm. What have I done? Semi auto, 1911 chambered in 9mm, oh my, […]

Kimber Target II 1911 9mm Single Stack Open Pistol

Today, Carl, Mike, and Jason talk about the 10mm cartridge, some guns that shoot 10mm, and some reasons why you may consider buying one. We do all this to celebrate episode number 10. We also talk a little about NOE bullet molds and bullet casting.

The ARMSCOR M1911A 380 is basically a miniature 1911 chambered in .380 AUTO. In this video I take it to the shooting range and put it’s first 50 rounds through it and go over the features. I take the gun apart to show the inside as well. Buffalo's OutdoorsIf you enjoy shooting firearms, this is […]

We had a fail with the ‘Tricorne’ in the jugs and I believe it was the small area of the 3 sided HP cavity being plugged by the plastic carton … maybe so maybe no, but this time I plugged the ‘Quad’ HP with Silicone…it’s ‘Controlled Expansion’ working at its best. Casting the Accurate 45-200H & NOE 312440FN Creeker

People often ask us why we shoot.  Some folks golf, some collect stamps, we shoot.

This video has no real evaluations or tests to it; just a day out with a good friend and his daughter. We had a fantastic time together shooting and having some really good talks among us.

Shooting from the upside down position at 15 and 25 yards with a handgun.  I’ve seen people do this in movies, hanging upside down, wanted to try it out and see how hard it really is.

Yup…Video Editing…hey boys I was born before the muscle car era…we didn’t have no ‘stinking computers’! Ya know fellas, I got tired of passing on every subject I wanted to tackle on video with the iPhone 4 and editing software on my Mac…you boys have been putting some great video out and I’ve felt like […]

I acquired this 1911 knowing it had a few bugs with the intent to learn more about the innards of the 1911, but most importantly making it run. mr.revolverguywww.dayattherange.com

Our test loads are made up and ready, loaded in the magazines…cameras are set out and the chronograph is in the line of fire. Kyle is having flashbacks and starting to break out in a cold sweat…it’s now or never. Did I mention it’s hotter than a pistol out here? Ha! Let’s test this first […]

My thoughts on one gun you should own. A 1911 is an American Classic with the classic .45 ACP round. Plus, you can’t go wrong with a John Browning design. Jesse B OutdoorsGuns, Gear, Knives, and Outdoors. These are some of my favorite things besides my family.

25 yard handgun challenge from ICarrieone, wow I need a lot more practice
