Oh the humanity!!!!!! But I couldn’t resist. The hardest part was figuring out the shot timer. Guess I should have had my grandson help me. Anyway, here you go. .38 Special with Lee 158 RF out of a Taurus 66 6″ barrel PS: The names have been changed to protect the innocent!!! Mike TreenCasting, loading […]
I got a package from Loads of Bacon of his world renown coated and bacon lubed bullets. Normally I load my medium velocity 357 Magnum rounds with HS-6. Just upon completing some 10MM testing with BE-86 and like the performance and velocity I was seeing with it I decided to use BE-86 in 357 Magnum.
I recently cast up a bunch of bullets with my new NOE HTC358-133-RN mold for 9mm. These bullets cast at an average of 134 grains with my alloy. I have sized these to .358", and today I decided to test them from my 4" Taurus Model 66 loaded in both 38 special and 357 magnum.
I recently tested several different cast bullets in my EAA Big Bore Bounty Hunter single action. I am now testing those same bullet in my Taurus Judge. I loaded these with Alliant Unique powder. I am trying to determine if larger bullets will help to increase accuracy in these revolvers.
This is the final installment on our Taurus 689 load development series. We have settled on 13.8 grs of 2400 w/ a 158 gr PC GC SWC and CCI Magnum Small Pistol Primers.
I would be honored if you would take a step back with me to the first videos I posted on YouTube. I am starting off with the Taurus 689 Load Development series. There are 5 videos in this series spanning quite an array of folly, misfortune, and lamentation. In this Part 1 Introduction, we discuss the parameters of this project, as well as give a little backstory of the firearm itself. We then go in-depth about choosing the components for initial testing. I hope you enjoy!
