1898 Marlin pump action shotgun, patented in 1894
Leverguns 50
Part one review of this 1898 Marlin pump action shotgun takedown model. I picked it up in one of the small towns here in Alabama, pawn Central in Opelika Alabama, to be exact. In part two we’re going to compare with the 1897 Winchester, but we’ve got to do some work to it first. I need an extractor, some work done on the forearm, and spring for the ejector. On these old guns you need to use light loads as they were made for a black powder pressures. But you should probably never fire one unless a gunsmith deems it safe, as I have read some articles that said Marlin said that they were unsafe.
Most of our videos are about lever action rifles and other cowboy guns, including carbine and shotguns, sixguns, black powder, hunting, outdoors, and primitive skills.
