Finding out the original black powder ballistics for the 50-110-300 WCF and the 50-100-450 WCF. According to the literature Rob found on the 50-110, the 300 grain bullet should be doing 1605 FPS with a muzzle energy of 1720 and a 100 yard energy of 1040, on penetration of seven-eights inch pine boards. Lead penetrated 11, jacketed soft nose 13, and full metal jacket 20, and the recoil was 19.5 pounds with black powder and 11.5 with smokeless. I don’t have any data on the 450 grain bullet as far as ballistics.
