Years ago (after much frustration with my Marlington/Remlin 30-30), I gave up on the 30-30 cartridge. I just could never get my Marlin 336 to shoot well. I tried factory ammo, reloaded ammo with jacketed bullets, pointy hornady (flex tip) bullets, cast bullets, etc… as well as several different powders. My levergun just shot horribly. […]
Tres Amigos Tres Molds Tres Rifles
We each sent the others a batch of cast bullets for testing in different rifles, different temperatures, and altitudes. But, all with the same loads. Here are our results.
Hey guys! Been a little since I made a “start to finish” video–and finally caught my breath a little from the busyness of summer, enough to throw together a video. I was actually searching my channel for my 9mm plinking ammo video a week or two ago, when I realized I never ended up editing […]
My First Bullet Casting Session - Part Two. You experienced bullet casters out there, please offer as much advice as you want to. I value your opinions!
Looks like I squeaked this video upload just in time before getting my 17th video deleted and a YouTube Channel strike. I can’t upload to YT for the next little while, but I will still try to upload to TRN. Here you go, Enjoy! Full.Lead.TacoI love guns, tacos, and lead. I use the guns. The […]
Preparation is the key to success in any endeavor; load development is no different. There are many steps that go into the preparation for load development. This post will discuss the steps in detail in relation to my Henry 45LC 50 Yard Hunting Load Development Series.
http://noebulletmolds.com/smf/index.php/topic,2198.0.html Above is a link for an active group buy on the NOE forum. As many of you know, NOE is one of our Reloader’s Network sponsors. NOE molds are incredibly nice molds and are quite easy to use. Their service is great, and they are quick to ship. How their forum works: members are […]
Al Nelson from NOE Bullet Moulds joined us for a live question answer session and casual chat. Thank you to everyone that joined us for this great conversation!
This video will hopefully get some guys working on some 30-30 Winchester rounds. I'll be developing some, and hope you all will join in. The main objective is to get those old rifles out, dust them off, and start loading for and shooting them. So, I hope to be seeing lots of 30-30 videos. Join in when you can, and let's have some fun!
Today is the day. First time casting bullets. I am using a Lee 4 20lb pot. A NOE HTC358-133-RN-BO5 2 cavity mould. I have several pounds of processed wheel weights that I will be using. My first session this morning, about 50% were acceptable, and the second session after lunch about 85-90% were looking good.
Part four of my first bullet casting experience. In this episode, I document the reloading of my .358 – 158 grain bullets, cast from an NOE mold. JCM45
I am posting this video on behalf of Larry Palmer with his permission. I love how Larry makes a makeshift oven using a metal toolbox, a thermometer, and a homemade rocket stove. Great job Larry! Full.Lead.TacoI love guns, tacos, and lead. I use the guns. The guns eat lead. And I eat tacos. The videos […]
Hello, This is a video I posted on YouTube on April 26, 2018. It shows a casting session with 3 molds, one of which was given to me as a give-a-way on a Full.Lead.Taco/Loads of Bacon live stream, thus the title. This is the first attempt at casting with the Taco Mold (358477) 150 grain semi […]
For Lee 4-20 pot, you need around 1.5 inch riser with the NOE hollow point mold fuzztfork8Began reloading in 1976; casting in 1977 when good lead wheel weights were everywhere..There is something about making your own and being self-sufficient, that intrigued me.
