This afternoon as I was wandering around SHOT Show I received a message from James Pollard on Slack stating, “Please see what you can find out about the new 350 Legend cartridge and if anyone is making it available for the AR platform.”  I had not yet heard of the 350 Legend, but I quickly […]

I am casting round balls for loading in my revolvers. I purchased these single ball brass molds from Jeff Tanner at ballmoulds.com I'm looking forward to loading these to shoot in .44 Special, .44 Magnum, and .45 Colt as both single ball and duplex loads.

FYI, YouTube just deleted one of my videos. I found this in my email this morning: “Hi Loads of Bacon, As you may know, our Community Guidelines describe which content we allow – and don’t allow – on YouTube. Your video Casting Session for the Powder Coated Cast Lead Hollow Point Bullet Test was flagged […]

This past Monday Night, I attended a Town Hall Meeting in my home county of Wayne, in Illinois.  These types of meetings have taken place all over the state in response to the proposed anti-gun legislation coming out of Springfield.

Another video deleted, and another channel strike.  YouTube sure seems to take issue with the idea of bullet casting. I was notified this afternoon of my eighth video deleted by YouTube.  All eight have apparently been in violation of their policies on content related to firearms.  Here is the first part of the email that […]

The question can be asked that if we don’t require the extra power of the 357 Maximum over the 357 Magnum for silhouette competition or big game hunting, why would we want the Maximum. Answer – it’s all about the access to power…!! FortuneCookie45LCFortuneCookie45LC started posting videos on YouTube in 2012.  He has been a […]

Ammunition scams. Ammo prices. Taking advantage of the ammo shortage. KYZ scam! elvis ammoGuns and gear.  Ammunition, cast lead bullets, powder coating bullets, reloading, reloading equipment, Science and reviews!

Here on The Reloaders Network this might seem like preaching to the choir, but I’ve heard enough misinformation about the issue of carrying handloads for self-defense (sometimes even from certified firearms instructors an other ‘experts’ you would expect to know better) that I felt compelled to make a video discussing the issue and presenting it […]

YouTube is continuing their purge of bullet casting videos.  Apparently these videos violate the YouTube guidelines and “policies on content featuring firearms”. I received an email today from YouTube informing me that they had deleted one of my videos.  In their words, “Upon review, we’ve determined that it violates our guidelines and we’ve removed it […]

YouTube has now deleted four of my videos in the last three months, and this time it came with a Community Guidelines Strike against my channel. The same is happening to lots of other channels as well.

I challenge you!

Violation of Guidelines Once again I have received an email from YouTube informing me that they have deleted one of my videos. In their words, “Upon review, we’ve determined that it violates our guidelines and we’ve removed it from YouTube.” As before, I’ll include the entire email at the end of the post. This is […]

Day 3 of SHOT Show - powder dispensers, revolvers, and a whole lot more

There are reports of YT removing videos from shooting channels due to them being outside of the YT guidelines on acceptable content. Prohibitions on bump stocks, rapid fire triggers, gun constructs, reloading and unacceptable links are vague enough that shooting channels are having difficulty with the specifics. Here is a video on some very fine […]

Jon Patton from The Gun Collective spoke directly with YouTube, and it appears that reloading videos do in fact violate their new policies.

I am getting regular email notifications from YouTube that my content has been reviewed and it is “Not suitable for all advertisers.” These videos that are being demonetized have a few things in common. #1 They are older videos. From my first posted gun content which was uploaded in late 2016. It seems that recently, […]

Day 2 of SHOT Show 202 started out rough, but it ended well. Check out the highlights.

To build camaraderie and friendship over the internet is a blessing that I have enjoyed the last several years and I want to express my gratitude to all those who have been a part of that.

Lots of people desire to go to SHOT Show because they want to see all of the great new products, but I have found that the best part of SHOT is the people that you meet, and that you reconnect with as well. That said, there are certainly plenty of products on display as well. Here are some of the highlights of my first day at SHOT Show 2020.

Some commenters have actually told me that the high ammo prices and lack of primers for reloaders have forced them to quit shooting…This is not necessary and degrades our shooting skills. I had this idea for an Irish Drinking Song about the 10mm cartridge for a while. Quarantine finally gave me the time to do it. Enjoy and hope you find it kinda of funny. Alaskan BallisticsI’m just a regular guy who likes guns, hunting, and ballistics.

Let’s go to the range and test out just how pointable the Colt Single Action Army 45 is as many say it is. All the range clips are first takes only – no practice. Raw point and shoot. Also, let’s test the terminal effects of the 45 Colt…no need to do gel tests, the paper […]
