Part 2 of our series on the 90g Sierra Gamechanger’s featuring Starline Brass. In this video, I will take our rounds out to the range and see how they do. I did experience a loose bipod mount during the first time out. I took a few more rounds out, and believe I have figured out […]
Today we’re comparing two light recoiling calibers for hunting purposes. Which do you like better? Sound off in the comments below! Alaskan BallisticsI’m just a regular guy who likes guns, hunting, and ballistics.
This video shows the results of testing 3 rifles, to determine their penetration capabilities. Looks like the single-shot “buffalo rifle” distinguishes itself! The Way to Native ChroniclesYou could say I’m a Christian of Calvinist bent, and not a crowd-follower.
Shooting is fun. Shooting steel gongs is fun. Shooting steel gongs with a Ruger No. 1 custom chambered for the old, buffalo-era .45-120 cartridge (think Quigley Down Under) is even funner! In an effort to compare hitting power, I take two Ruger No. 1 rifles – one chambered for the .45-120 cartridge hurling a 535 […]
In this mini series I’ll be working over the wife’s Savage .243. We are swapping the barrel, installing an after market recoil lug, glass bedding, installing a new Arken optics scope, working on some load development and much more. I’ll be using some Peterson brass, Sierra 150 grain HPBT and testing out a few powders […]

Check out the new Boyd's At-One Thumbhole stock. We were lucky enough to get out hands on this for the Remington SA~! We chambered this in a 243 and will be working on some loads in the very near future.
Welcome back everyone! Boyd’s reached out to me a few months back and asked if I’d be willing to do a build featuring the new At-One Thumbhole design. Turns out I had a customer’s rifle that could benefit from a nice new stock, so now we’re in business. Over the next month we’ll be working […]
Part 3 today. I loaded up several rounds with the 43g charge of H4350 in our Starline Brass. Trying them out at 200-500 Yards. 243 OutdoorsMy name is Josh and I love Firearms and Freedom. I started 243 Outdoors as a YouTube Channel back in 2015 and have branched out to other media sites.
I was getting some amazing results, using H4895 and the bullets seated long to be within 0.060" of the lands. This rifle seems to like this, and I can't go any longer, due to magazine length.
I finally picked a round to do some longer range testing. Decided on the 44g load. Starting out at 250, then 400, 500, and 650. These rounds are shooters.
Vindicated! This is why sportsmen and competitors have loved .243 Winchester for over 60 years. Cartridge by Winchester. Action by Savage. Accuracy by Preferred Barrel Blanks. The Social RegressiveThe Social Regressive is a collection of outdoor adventures, gun tests, and gear reviews by a handful of Oklahoma boys. Our videos are entertaining and informative, but […]

They also have loaded ammunition if you don’t reload. In this video I will take a few test loads out, and see how […]
