Recently I received some Barnes bullets from Preacher's Day Off and it is time to load them up. We are using our once fired Starline Brass that was recently used in the Fort Scott Munition videos. Going through all the steps to load this ammo. Due to some recent rainfall we won't be able to shoot these rounds today.

Going Long Range Today. 90g Sierra Gamechanger loaded with H4350 in Starline Brass. Velocity is 3110fps.

This is just a fun video where we use two Ruger No. 1 rifles – one chambered in .243, the other in .45-120 – to explode some Tannerite. The video shows how the Tannerite is mixed and prepared, as well as showing how it detonates. 1/2 pound charges were used. Tannerite is supposed to require […]

This video examines a frustrating jamming problem rifles with top-loading magazines are prone to and how to avoid it. The rifle used in this example is a Winchester Model 670 chambered for .243. The Way to Native ChroniclesYou could say I’m a Christian of Calvinist bent, and not a crowd-follower.

More zinc bullet loads to try ( 3400 fps ) ? James PollardShooter, caster, handloader

Today we see how the Gamechanger penetrates and expands in wet compressed magazines. The bottom line, these are some great rounds. They have met or exceeded every test I have put them through.

Does brass make that big a difference? YES, and I’ll show you the results. My Savage 12FV is a whole new beast, thanks to Preferred Barrel Blanks. The rifle I’ve dubbed “Telekinesis” is still a .243 Winchester varmint rig, but it is behaving very differently. Let’s see how. 243win 10 shot Scott Satterlee method EP2. Using Lapua brass, Hybrid v100 powder and Berger 95gr VLD Quest for the perfect load

Does your choice of bullet/cartridge affect how well it resists deflection when shot through thick bush? This is a question on many hunters’ minds, as they are faced with choosing whether or not to shoot at an animal that is partly concealed. Not only that but – even for targets that seems unobstructed – your […]

So in today’s video, I am trying out the Hornady 87g V-Max bullets and IMR 4831 in the 243.  I have had some amazing results with the Sierra 95g TMK and this powder, so I thought I would try it with the 87’s.  Generally I load the 87’s with Reloder 19.  Using the Savage Model […]

This video demonstrates proper technique when it comes to handling recoil. Featuring a unique, high-powered rifle chambered for the old, buffalo-hunting era .45-120 cartridge (think “Quigley Down Under”), a woman uses the recommended military stance. The rifle used in this demonstration is a Ruger No. 1, custom-chambered for the aforesaid cartridge, firing a 535 grain […]

Hello and welcome to The Reloaders Network.  First thing, a HUGE THANKS to Loads of Bacon for all his hard work setting up this community.  This is going to be big, I have no doubt.  So recently I have been toying with the idea of starting a blog, or some kind of weekly post and […]

243win Ruger M77 Load Development EP5 with Berger bullets and Lapua brass. Quest for the perfect load

Okay, this may not be the most ground-shaking, trapping innovation, but I’d say it’s worth a look – even if just for fun. A while ago a video was posted to this channel, testing bullet penetration on some frozen turkeys I had using a Ruger No. 1 chambered for .45-120 (link below). The plan was […]

Men often ask, “What is the best caliber to get my wife for hunting?” In the opinion of this channel, you can’t do much better than a .243 Winchester. It provides mild recoil, flat-shooting and surprising effectiveness due to its velocity. For anyone wishing to get a sense of how it handles and how much […]
