A blustery day at Johnson's Mosquito Ranch with plenty of shooting fun. Mark and I plinked around with reduced 30-30 loads in our 94 Winchesters, tried a recently purchased GP100, hit steel with the 32-20 Contender, put a few more rounds through a Type 99, and fit in some time to evaluate two 8x57 Mauser loads.
Testing a different camera and video recording setup at while loading a handful of 8×57 Mauser rounds for my Kar98k Sporter that I didn’t get around to completing during a recent live stream. Special thanks to Full Lead Taco for his recent video. I worked harder on the Tacopocolypse VR than any video I can remember. In this case, anyway, that hard work paid off big. I bought an RCBS custom seating die set for my .30-06 back in 1979 and it was pretty affordable then, but…nowadays they are pretty expensive. What if there was a way to make your custom micrometer seating die do more than one caliber? Would that be a good idea? Save a few bucks too? If […]
