I go through the entire process of casting, powdercoating, loading, and shooting some hard cast round nose bullets using the high quality NOE bullet mold for my 10mm handguns.  I had wanted a round nose bullet for 10mm plinking loads.  Something that would feed simply and flawlessly in each of my 10mm handguns and carbines.  This bullet mold seems to do the trick.

Yup…Video Editing…hey boys I was born before the muscle car era…we didn’t have no ‘stinking computers’! Ya know fellas, I got tired of passing on every subject I wanted to tackle on video with the iPhone 4 and editing software on my Mac…you boys have been putting some great video out and I’ve felt like […]

Shooting the 45 ACP with a 230 FMJ/TMJ into Clear Ballistics Gel from my 1911.

My thoughts on one gun you should own. A 1911 is an American Classic with the classic .45 ACP round. Plus, you can’t go wrong with a John Browning design. Jesse B OutdoorsGuns, Gear, Knives, and Outdoors. These are some of my favorite things besides my family.

Welcome to the first challenge of this fine new year…it’s going to last all summer or until everyone says they give up or lose interest. It’s a ‘challenge’ and it’s on the personal level…it’s about learning a little different shooting style than you may have been accustomed to. Basically, in my estimation it is ‘defensive […]

I've made a couple slight modifications to my new ATI FX Military 1911, a clone of the 1911A1. Then I took it back to the range.

Review for the Rock Island Armory 1911 A2 Full Sized High Capacity 10mm

We had a fail with the ‘Tricorne’ in the jugs and I believe it was the small area of the 3 sided HP cavity being plugged by the plastic carton … maybe so maybe no, but this time I plugged the ‘Quad’ HP with Silicone…it’s ‘Controlled Expansion’ working at its best. In this episode of shooting the breeze I complain about the upcoming Civilian Marksmanship Program's 1911 release.

People often ask us why we shoot.  Some folks golf, some collect stamps, we shoot.

Get Out and Practice Charlie and James remind us we need to get out and challenge ourselves to remain proficient in defensive encounters. Mr.Revolverguy Sacrilege Not only am I trying the challenge with a semi auto, it is a 1911 chambered in 9mm. What have I done? Semi auto, 1911 chambered in 9mm, oh my, […]

May 11, 2019 - A blustery, overcast 200 yard Military Rifle Competition with Iron Sights!

Firing off my first 10 rounds of 45acp to see how they work.

I put some Acme Bullets 230gr 45acp that I reloaded thru my Ruger SR1911.

Today I was called out to do my winter 2019 EDC video by The Big Boom Duo

In the video 'The 805 Box & The Tricorne HP' , the first HP RN Tricorne fired into the box was a fail...today I turn that fail into a success and talk about 'how I fixed it & why it failed'?

I acquired this 1911 knowing it had a few bugs with the intent to learn more about the innards of the 1911, but most importantly making it run. mr.revolverguywww.dayattherange.com

Before James’s friendly advice…I couldn’t hit a Bull in the butt with a base fiddle . . . much less my 1911. Actually I’m just doing my regular 50 round practice using a timer and hoping that someday I’ll be competent to shoot fast and actually hit what I’m looking at. So far it’s taking […]
