WCChapin | Gloss Ring Circus – Mocking Up a Leupold BR-36X on the Howa Varminter

Evaluating medium height Leupold STD scope rings on the Howa 1500 Varminter.

I purchased the only set of gloss STD rings that were available at the local shop – fortunately, they appear to be the height that is needed for mounting the Leupold BR-36 on this rifle.

It appears that the cheek weld and eye relief will be acceptable. I’ll proceed with mounting the bases and setting up the scope and rings.
