3 months ago I posted a video about "My New Mobile Bullet Casting Bench". Today I finish the upgrades.
I added the NOE Lead Pot Mould Guide. I also added ventilation for my casting pot.
I originally wanted a bullet mold which I could use to cast a heavy 300blk bullet which was easy to cast, coat, load, and shoot for plinking in my 300 blk AR15 at subsonic speeds. I tried a few of the already available molds but had feeding issues, undersized issues, boat tail issues, or issues […]
Several years ago, I purchased a lightly used brushed-chrome model of the Desert Eagle handgun chambered in 50 Action Express. Finding the .50 cal bullets for it has been tricky at times–other times it has been quite expensive. To save money and to not be reliant on bullet availability at the local or online shops, […]
I go through the entire process of casting, powdercoating, loading, and shooting some hard cast round nose bullets using the high quality NOE bullet mold for my 10mm handguns. I had wanted a round nose bullet for 10mm plinking loads. Something that would feed simply and flawlessly in each of my 10mm handguns and carbines. This bullet mold seems to do the trick.
It's cold outside. YouTube has given my channel its second strike and I'm not allowed to upload anything to their servers for a couple of weeks. Should I curl up in front of the fireplace and wish for warmer days? Not hardly! There's hog hunting, new firearms, and plenty more going on...
This video will hopefully get some guys working on some 30-30 Winchester rounds. I'll be developing some, and hope you all will join in. The main objective is to get those old rifles out, dust them off, and start loading for and shooting them. So, I hope to be seeing lots of 30-30 videos. Join in when you can, and let's have some fun!
In this video I show most of the steps from start to finish on how I make one of my favorite milk jug exploding 45-70 loads. All the details should be in the video, but if you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment here and I will respond as quickly as I […]
I wanted to see how much penetration these subsonic 600 gr 458 socom bullets would have through water (milk jugs). We saved up a bunch of jugs and went out to test. Watch the video for the results. Test Firearm: 10.5″ 458 Socom Upper by Radical Firearms Registered SBR lower Silencerco Hybrid Suppressor Ammo Details: […]
My First Bullet Casting Session - Part Two. You experienced bullet casters out there, please offer as much advice as you want to. I value your opinions!
Today, I show in this video the entire process from start to finish how I cast, powder coat, load, and shoot some 250gr coated cast lead hollow points in the 44 magnum. This is one of my "go to" loads for blasting milk jugs without much recoil. These loads are perfect for maximum explosion with minimal recoil--great for those milk jug duels with the buddies. Got questions? Feel free to leave me a comment below, and I will do my best to answer it!
The Live Stream will be this Saturday, October 20th, at 9pm Eastern/6pm Pacific.
The Reloaders Network website is 6 months old! A big thanks to everyone that has been involved so far.
Also, a huge thanks to some really kind folks that sent me a few items.
Here is my entry into the Taco 2000 subscriber drawing. Thanks to Full.Lead.Taco for encouraging us all to get out and experiment to see how we would continue our hobbies in the face of the demise of civilization as we know it.
A while back I wanted to see what the lightest bullet I could load in my 300 blk would be. I worked my way all the way down to a round ball load. Someone asked me if I was worried about a baffle strike with the round ball–I asked them, ” what do you think […]
Today is the day. First time casting bullets. I am using a Lee 4 20lb pot. A NOE HTC358-133-RN-BO5 2 cavity mould. I have several pounds of processed wheel weights that I will be using. My first session this morning, about 50% were acceptable, and the second session after lunch about 85-90% were looking good.
Years ago (after much frustration with my Marlington/Remlin 30-30), I gave up on the 30-30 cartridge. I just could never get my Marlin 336 to shoot well. I tried factory ammo, reloaded ammo with jacketed bullets, pointy hornady (flex tip) bullets, cast bullets, etc… as well as several different powders. My levergun just shot horribly. […]
I recently purchased a mold to cast .45 caliber bullets for my 1911. In this video, I use the mold to cast three different style bullets, and then powder coat and size them. This mold has no lube groove, and the bullets must be coated with Hi-Tek or powder coat.
I recently cast bullets for 9mm with the NOE HTC358-133-RN mold, powder coated them with Eastwood Lime Green, and sized them to .358". I am now working up a load with Alliant e3 powder, which is a challenge since there is no published load data for this or a similar bullet. I am shooting these from my Beretta 92S.
I recently cast up a bunch of bullets with my new NOE HTC358-133-RN mold for 9mm. These bullets cast at an average of 134 grains with my alloy. I have sized these to .358", and today I decided to test them from my 4" Taurus Model 66 loaded in both 38 special and 357 magnum.
