‘SIZING CAST PROJECTILES’ . . . From Lube-Sizing to Lee push through to an Upside Down Press . . . “What?”

‘In the beginning…’ I started casting and ‘Lube-Sized’ my rifle/pistol projectiles…back then, the choice of lube was a hot topic and there were many heated exchanges about which lube would allow particular advantages. Some lubes required a ‘heater’ to be installed under the Sizer, some not. ‘Leading’ of the barrel was a problem when the […]

Casting, Loading, & Shooting 250gr Coated Cast Lead Hollow Points 44 Magnum

Today, I show in this video the entire process from start to finish how I cast, powder coat, load, and shoot some 250gr coated cast lead hollow points in the 44 magnum. This is one of my "go to" loads for blasting milk jugs without much recoil.  These loads are perfect for maximum explosion with minimal recoil--great for those milk jug duels with the buddies.  Got questions?  Feel free to leave me a comment below, and I will do my best to answer it!

9mm Cast Bullet Range Testing with Alliant e3

I recently cast bullets for 9mm with the NOE HTC358-133-RN mold, powder coated them with Eastwood Lime Green, and sized them to .358". I am now working up a load with Alliant e3 powder, which is a challenge since there is no published load data for this or a similar bullet. I am shooting these from my Beretta 92S.

Gathering data on velocity using True Blue powder

I was finally able to get to the range and gather some velocity data using Ramshot True Blue by Western Powders. The two bullets used were the Lee 356-124-2R and the NOE HTC-358-133-RN. The lighter Lee bullets seemed to prefer a lighter charge while the heavier bullet from NOE preferred a higher charge. This goes […]

A Loads of Bacon Channel Update

It's cold outside.  YouTube has given my channel its second strike and I'm not allowed to upload anything to their servers for a couple of weeks.  Should I curl up in front of the fireplace and wish for warmer days?  Not hardly! There's hog hunting, new firearms, and plenty more going on...

Powder Coating and Sizing 9mm

In today's video, I am powder coating my recent cast 9mm rounds. I am using Harbor Freight Red powder. I am having trouble with the powder sticking to the bullets. After watching several videos from authors of The Reloaders Network, I'm still not getting the results I want. All the rounds are usable, but they just don't look the best. Some have thin and thick spots, and some have bare spots. Factors such as weather, humidity, and types of plastic containers could be affecting my results. All the rounds were sized to .356 using a NOE Sizing Die.
